About Movement Lab

Do you deal with persistent, nagging pain?
Are you moving a little slower—and feeling a little worse—than you used to?
Are your workouts or long runs delivering fewer results, or does life simply not leave you time to train at all?

Movement Lab was built for you.

No matter your age or fitness level, Movement Lab exists to help you move better, so you can feel better—longer into your life.

Why Movement Matters

Modern life wasn’t designed for healthy movement.

Long hours of sitting, repetitive tasks, and chronic stress create muscle imbalances, limited range of motion, and overuse injuries. Over time, this shows up as persistent pain in the hips, back, neck, and joints. Even people who exercise regularly—especially runners and high-volume cardio athletes—often unknowingly reinforce these issues depending on how they move.

Movement Lab focuses on restoring what modern life quietly takes away:

  • Quality movement

  • Strength through full ranges of motion

  • Resilience, not just fitness

The Coach Behind Movement Lab

Movement Lab was founded by Coach Chuck Turner—coach, educator, and lifelong student of movement and behavior change.

Before coaching full-time, Coach Chuck spent over a decade in the banking and mortgage industry. During that time, he saw firsthand the physical and mental toll that sedentary work, stress, and poor recovery habits take on otherwise capable people. Even those who “worked out” struggled with pain, inconsistency, and burnout.

That experience—combined with a lifelong personal journey shaped by early exposure to fitness, discipline, and accountability—led him to build Movement Lab as a bridge between exercise, lifestyle, and behavior.

Today, Coach Chuck brings that philosophy into every environment he serves:

  • Lifestyle & behavioral coaching for adults seeking sustainable change

  • Strength and conditioning for youth and high school athletes, including football programs at Harding and Humboldt High Schools

  • Education and instruction through his work with Saint Paul College

  • Corporate, private, and group clients facing the physical demands of modern work and life

The approach is simple but uncompromising:

  • Fundamentals done well

  • Systems over motivation

  • Progress over perfection

  • Community over isolation

Movement Lab Is More Than a Gym

Movement Lab isn’t about quick fixes or extreme programs. It’s about teaching people how to move, how to train, and how to show up for themselves consistently.

That philosophy extends beyond in-person coaching.
